If you’re ever in the PNW, I’ll let you drive it! :)

Do it. They’re getting harder to find than AE86s.

And have always looked better. “Too bad it’s FWD” (I think I’m contractually obliged to say that). I kinda like FWD honestly... I guess that comes with the Saab territory.

It’s definitely a much more refined looking car. In fact, when i was about 14, I wanted either an AE92 or a Corrado. Then I discovered how much I like having the rear wheels do things. I ended up comprimising and getting a AE86 coupe instead.

Always liked the way these look. If you don’t mind fwd check out the st162 celica gts too. The 3sge is an awesome engine.

Be prepared to replace every rubber bit, bushings, motor and trans mounts, possibly ball joints, cv axles, transmission seals. Low mileage is great but sitting is hell on those parts.

I’ve always liked the AE9X platform - I’d take mine in Geo Prizm GSI form though.

Good recommendation! Those are on my radar too. I was actually first looking for one of those because when I was a kid I played Sega Rally at my local skating rink for hours and that Castrol ST205 is a dream car of mine. There’s a beautiful graphite metallic Carlos Sainz edition sort of near my house: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/6084536761.html

I talked to the owner a bit and he’s treated it like a show car his entire life. Obviously, I’m taking that at “I’m selling a car” face value, but as the kids say: big if true.
